On Tuesday, October 3, the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands/Department of Tourism coordinated the final mercy missions out of the Territory. We thank our cruise partners, including the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruises as well as our airline partners Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, JetBlue Airways and American Airlines. Together, we were able to evacuate close to 5,000 residents and visitors who were impacted by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas is now open for commercial flights and St. Croix’s Henry E. Rohlsen Airport is scheduled to open later this week.
